Klosterbrauerei Weißenohe

The Weißenohe monastery brewery has been in the family for more than 150 years, but it looks back on a much longer history: the underlying Benedictine monastery was first mentioned at the end of the 10th century. It is very likely that the popular barley juice was already brewed by the monastery brothers at that time, as beer was part of the monastic diet. Today people prefer to eat in the adjoining beer garden or in the reopened inn - the brewery knows how to convince with traditional Franconian cuisine. There is also the excellent home-brewed beer. Sometimes the brewery also has a few seasonal beer specialties ready - just ask.
