The Vissel River, with its source, flows north into the Wümme River.
The Warnau River is also called Schneebach here. This comes from the German word "Schnede" and means border.
This was the border between the Duchy of Lüneburg and the Diocese of Verden.
Today it is the border between the Rotenburg district and the Heidekreis district.
