Mountain biking
The name "St. Maria am Eisernen Zaun” for the Marienkapelle appeared shortly after it was founded. The "iron fence" refers to the German-Czech state border, which was secured with barbed wire and tripwires at the time. After the opening of the border in 1990, the term would actually have been outdated. However, it was retained for historical reasons.
