Very interesting pedestrian bridge between Algund and Forst in half-timbered construction with roof and side walls. It is a so-called "covered bridge". The covering of wooden bridges was widely used in bridge construction since the late Middle Ages. It served primarily to protect the load-bearing wooden beam structure from weathering.
