The Geirsstaðakirkja is a replica of an early turf church in eastern Iceland. In the Hróarstunga area, archaeological excavations were carried out in the summer of 1997. Ruins of a large Viking Age farm were found. This included a longhouse, a small church, and two smaller buildings. (SOURCE: Wikipedia)
