Attractions in Fljótsdalshérað

Small glacier lake surrounded by glacier cliffs, which has an incredible color scheme. There is a beautiful circular walk around the lake which offers always new and beautiful perspectives. Absolute highlight in this corner of Iceland.

Take off-road 923, park on Klaustursel farm, cross the footbridge and walk for 5 km. Don't go to Grund farm on the west rim because there's no way to climb down from there.

After a little walk through the nature you have a great view on the nice Fardagafoss waterfall.
