    The Kirschbaumallee is a section of the Berlin Wall Trail near the former border crossing Bornholmer Straße. Out of joy over the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, Japanese citizens donated these cherry trees in a generous donation campaign, which were planted at various locations in and around Berlin. There are now over 10,000.
