Nice view over one of the mining craters and great starting point to explore the area. There are field roads between the mining areas but you are not allowed to drive through every street as they are closed. So it is worthwhile to find out in advance on the internet where you are allowed to go and where not.

The pit rim is easy to drive north. The sight is huge (.. to throw up).

Here is one of the few places where the edge of the opencast mine is not secured by the FBI and you can actually see something from the edge with racing bike shoes. Even if only the spoil side.
