The arrow leaves little room for doubt: Nacimiento del Río Mundo. After several kilometers of walking along paths through pine forests and following the course of the river, reading that name produces a mixture of excitement and satisfaction. The destination seemed to be within reach.
However, rarely does a sign so accurately reflect the difference between the map and reality. Just a few meters ahead, forest rangers informed us that access was closed due to stabilization work on the landslides caused by the heavy rains of recent months. There was no possibility of continuing.
