The Bienservida station was built during the construction of the Baeza–Utiel railway, one of the major railway lines planned in Spain during the 20th century that never entered service. Like the other stations along the route, it had a passenger building, a goods shed, and sidings, although a train never arrived. Today it is one of the best testimonies of the so-called "railway that never was" and is part of the historical heritage of the Vía Verde del Renacimiento.

Although it is named Bienservida, the station is not located next to the village, but several kilometers from the town center. It was a common practice on mountain railway lines: the route was adapted to the slopes and orography, even if it meant placing the stations far from the towns.
