Mountaineering
The Torrenthorn is a 2,998-meter-high summit above Leukerbad and is one of the region's most popular viewpoints.
From the top, the view extends over the Valais Alps with peaks such as the Matterhorn, the Weisshorn, and the Bernese Alps.
In summer, a marked mountain path leads from the Torrent cable car area to the summit. The hike from the mountain station is technically mostly easy, but requires sure-footedness and good fitness. Alternatively, the Torrenthorn can also be climbed on foot from Leukerbad, which is, however, a long and demanding tour.
