The town hall is located on the market of Möckern and is the headquarters of the city administration. The present three-storey town hall building in the Renaissance style with a staircase and a sandstone portal, is a new building from 1895. The previous building was a half-timbered house from 1700. In July 2016, the decision was taken by the city council decentralized management of the city together in one location In addition, a cultivation should originate at the historical town hall. A referendum was tabled against this decision and a new vote was taken on the decision in December 2017, with the result that for the time being there will be no expansion of the Town Hall.

On the square in front of the town hall is the sculpture city goddess. It was created by the sculptor Heinrich Apel from Magdeburg in 1995. A "city wall with open gates for every woman and everyone, on whose battlements the industrious citizens show their craft", forms the crown of the city goddess.
