Friendship Point, one of the four Komoot peaks in Goodhue County, offers splendid views of Lake Bullesby and the surrounding countryside. The point is easily reached by trail from a nearby trailhead. It lies within the Phillippo Scout Reservation, which is private property, so permission is required to visit. When we arrived, we found the campmaster, who kindly allowed us to drive to the trailhead and hike out to the point. He was amused when I told him that, even at age 80, I was still a Boy Scout in search of another merit badge.
