Potentially a swimmable lake, it tends to have a significant amount of algae. But if heading into or out of Cannon Falls, there is a nice bike path from Lake Byllesby that connects to the Cannon Valley Trail in Cannon Falls and continues on to Redwing.

Nice big lake, with a power dam and a bridge to check it out. The dam is exciting when the water is high. This lake gets pretty green in the summer, so come early or late in the year for paddling.
