Geschichtshaus Dändorf
The Dändorf History House, inaugurated in autumn 2014, delights its visitors with exhibitions on the history of the historic North Mecklenburg Salt Road between Sülze and Wismar, which also ran through Dändorf, as well as with photographs and postcards from the Baltic seaside resort in the 1960s, taken by the well-known photographer from Halle, Annemarie Giegold-Schilling (Annemarie Dorn). A new addition is an exhibition intended to commemorate the importance of sailing and steam shipping for Dändorf and Dierhagen, and in particular the local captains.

The Baltic Sea resort has a diverse history, to which the "Dörpverein Ostseebad Dierhagen e.V." association dedicates itself with changing exhibitions in the history house (Geschichtshaus).
There have already been exhibitions on the history of the Salt Road (Salzstraße), the history of the seafaring villages of Dierhagen and Dändorf, or the grounding of the Finnish schooner "Janne" in 1930 off the coast of Dierhagen. Films about the history of Dierhagen can be viewed on a monitor on the ground floor of the house.
