Scragh Bog Nature Reserve has been called "the best illustration in Ireland of the transition from alkaline fen to acidic raised bog". This is a wonderful place to see mosses and bog plants as well as lots of bird life. Look out for Sphagnum Moss, Sundew and Round-leaved Wintergreen, as well as Skylark and Common Snipe.
There is a nice boardwalk around the bog, allowing easy walking in this delicate habitat.
