Beautiful old Irish whiskey distillery situated on the River Brosna. It dates back to 1757 and is still in operation today! You can book guided tours and have a wander around their impressive museum.

It was a great tour in a very nice distillery. It's the way you imagine it from films, etc.
If you are in the corner here I would definitely stop.

On the way to Dublin, I made an appointment in Kilbeggan. Whiskey has been distilled since 1757 in the "Whiskey City" and thus the oldest (licensed) whiskey distillery exists worldwide. The "Cooley Distillery" produces here the brands "Kilbeggan", "Locke's" and "Connemara". The many old building parts are also museum, in which "aufpützelte" historical plants are shown.
