The Wiesberg (1,998 metres) is quite inconspicuous, although the entire landscape up here is impressive. After the last Hackenkopf, the path continues steadily down towards Wiesberg, past and over a crater and scree landscape that inevitably reminds you of the moon. The view towards Sonneck and Kopfkraxen is particularly astonishing, as you would not expect such a vast plateau with scree and meadows up here.

Hiking

The 1998 m high Wiesberg is the lowest peak on the crossing of the Hackenköpfe from Scheffauer to Sonneck. The summit doesn't particularly stand out, nor is it marked in any way, so it's easy to miss it. The hump on which it is located is very beautiful and overgrown with grass, hence the name.
