This historic steam-powered harvesting machine stands on a monument pedestal in Rue du 20 Août (20th August Street) in the city center. It was imported from England in 1927. It was in use in various regions of the country until it was decommissioned in 1955, as its owners joined the Algerian liberation revolution. To honor its historical and tourist value, the municipality has exhibited the restored machine on this central street.
