Melchers hut was a rest stop of the Torfkäne, which brought the coveted fuel from the Teufelsmoor, over the Hamme to Bremen.
Today's excursion destination is a coveted destination for many cyclists, which lies picturesquely on the Hamme.

Lonely hut with beer garden right on the water. Very close to the angled bridge, also worth seeing.

Nice place to take a break. Here you can get coffee, cake, bratwurst in a roll and drinks from the bottle. Friendly, simple and good.

Melchers hut, on the Hamme in Teufelsmoor! A great stop on every bike or boat tour. Also for hikers an absolute must! However, usually only open on weekends, so it's on a large board on the water side!

A quaint hut, well located for a break on the way to Worpswede. Unfortunately, I can not judge the gastronomic offer.

Melcher's hut used to be called "New Cameroon". After a former German colony. This is shown on a picture in the entrance. In the restaurant you can still see the old wall paintings depicting animals from the moor. There is no electricity here. Just a generator.
We always go here for a coal tour in winter. The innkeeper has to cook outside and bring everything with him. We then sit in the dining room. Quaint, but great. The cabbage is really delicious here. But you have to register.

In the last section of OHZ, there is a coarse split of splits on the way, so that one gets the dust in the face in case the cars overtake or pass by

Nice place in a picturesque landscape. Hopefully the business will be able to start again soon.

The path towards OHZ was renewed in autumn. It is now passable without dust.

Melcher's hut is well worth a visit.
Located directly on the Hamme, plenty of benches under huge trees, when it rains
    sufficient umbrellas.
In any case, there is coffee and homemade cake.
Grilled food when it's on offer.
    Always cold drinks, of course.
    Should you visit!
