The Monumento ai Martiri Pennesi in Penne (Abruzzo) is a memorial monument to eight local patriots who were executed in 1837 after a failed uprising against Bourbon rule. The monument, unveiled in 1913, is centrally located on Piazza XX Settembre. It is considered an important symbol of the early Italian unification struggle (the Risorgimento) in the region.

The Artist: The monument was designed and created by the renowned sculptor Pasquale Morganti (1861–1940) from Teramo.
Architecture: It consists of a platform with stairs on which rests a large, stone obelisk (conglomerate cement structure), topped with a five-pointed star.
