The marina (and outport) is the most remarkable part of the harbour. The basin is surrounded by tall structures. The marina has 450 berths and ten pontoons, which were built after the ferry terminal of the line to Newhaven (with Hoverspeed's Superseacat) moved to the new outer harbor in 1944. A modern railway station by the sea has been built there.
