My first and last tour when I am in Mallorca is going to the chapel in the monastery Betlem. Upon arrival: A candle that I am back to health, at the end of the holiday: A candle that I can go home healthy again.

Very quiet street. There is no food in the monastery. You have to take care of that yourself.

If the thirst is too big, turn right before the archway to the monastery on the right, follow the unpaved road about 300m, it is right in front of you, a clean source from which I've drunk many times.

For years Betlem is a must, for me one of the most beautiful routes on the island.

I have done almost all of my tours to the monastery by racing bike,
Nevertheless, a very nice mountain bike tour is the approach via Arta to the monastery, past the monastery spring and then on the north-east side down to the coast in the village of Betlem.
You should be able to control and carry your mountain bike very well ...

As Erni describes it, my first and last tour from my location Cala Millor, as a rule you are almost alone on the road. As a prelude tour for the next two weeks and as a shooting tour with ☕️ and 🎂 in Arta👋.

From the summit you have a great view.
    The little switchbacks are fun

Betlem is a great ride: it’s tough, but not too tough. The views from the top are awesome, and the monastery itself is a pretty attraction to check out irrespective of cycling. The windy road is also almost void of traffic. Just bear in mind that there’s absolutely nothing for sale at the monastery, so you’ll have to make sure you take enough water with you for the return journey.

Betlem Monastery is the official end of the road. Getting home means going back the way you came, although that is definitely not a bad thing. The climb to get here is a nice one, so the ride down is a fun one. The views from behind the building are also pretty awesome, and the monastery/church itself is very ornate.

A great tour - but you have to go back the same way. The recommended route to the coast is not recommended.
