This birdwatching hut is located on the dike between the Amstelmeer (Wieringermeer) and the Balgzand. The windows are located on the side of the bellows, where many waders sit and fall asleep in the late summer, many thousands of terns. The rare tern is also sometimes seen. Along the dikes form salt marshes, where numerous waders and waders nest in the spring, such. B. tangle. The spoonbill has successfully raised youngsters here. At low tide, thousands of birds gather in the Wadden Sea and on the plates to eat from the myriad waders. In July, thousands of mountain goats gather at the eastern Slikhoekschor to skinned. In the winter months come here many pigeons and wild geese, which seek refuge in the Wieringerpoldern at high tide.
