Zion National Park is a world-famous National park in the southwestern corner of Utah. The park aims to preserve its striking geology, including Zion Canyon and its vibrant Navajo sandstone canyons shaped by erosion, its wilderness, wild and scenic rivers, and human history while offering opportunities for scientific research and public recreation. Located at the intersection of the Mojave Desert, Colorado Plateau, and Great Basin, Zion provides a range of activities from leisurely hikes to intense rock climbing and canyoneering. The park features nine geologic formations representing about 150 million years of sedimentation, ranging from ancient seas to deserts.
