The SU 22 aircraft with tail number 8512 (produced in the mid-80s) served for years in the 21st Tactical Air Base in Świdwin. After being withdrawn from operational service, in December 2014, it was transferred to the Wrocław University of Science and Technology by the Military Property Agency for didactic and scientific purposes.

The MiG 29 fighter jet with tail number 115 previously flew in the 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork (it also previously served in Mińsk Mazowiecki). The Technical University acquired it at the end of 2023 (the official presentation and opening of the new part of the laboratory took place at the beginning of 2024).
