This is the final section of the 221-kilometre Larapinta Trail, and a worthy finish for completing the epic journey across West MacDonnell Ranges. However, it is also a popular day hike with many choosing to hike in darkness in order to reach the summit for sunrise. Whether you're finishing the Larapinta Trail or just here for they day, take your time to ensure you have adequate supplies, especially water and sun protection, before heading out on the trail.
