The fresh tarmac at the top makes this a really enjoyable climb again. It's long but worth it.

The climb to the Puigmal ski resort is a classic in French Cerdanya. Two years ago, the paved section was lengthened by a few km until it reached approximately 2,200m.
The climb is long, with easy areas and sections with hard ramps. There is even a descent of 1 kilometer before reaching the first service area of the station in Cotzé.
At the beginning, the views are very beautiful because you can appreciate the size and length of the Cerdaña valley. Half way up, there is hardly anything interesting. The final part is spectacular with the views of Puigmal and the surrounding mountain circus.translated by
