Lake Charlotte trail winds through old red spruce and hardwood forest, and along the shores of Lake Charlotte, passing wetlands and freshwater shoreline along the way. It's a moderately challenging route that connects to a large network of trails in the surrounding protected wilderness, and sees very little traffic, making it an ideal peaceful escape if you're looking to get off the beaten path.
