The Lisleåa river winds through the heart of Hæstad Nature Reserve, cutting through the rugged, high-altitude landscape of northern Fyresdal. As it flows through these protected woods, the river creates a series of small cascades and quiet pools surrounded by some of the most untouched old-growth spruce forest in the region.
