Hiking
The hose tower belongs to the equipment house of the Bützow volunteer fire department.
The tower has a typical neo-Gothic brick architecture and was classically used for drying and hanging fire hoses (after deployments, they had to be hung to dry and prevent mold).
The former gymnasium (built around 1900, belonging to the former Realgymnasium) was partially adapted or demolished in 2001 for the new construction/extension of the fire station. The hose tower was preserved.
