One of the oldest wayside shrines can be found on the cycle path from Südlohn to Oeding. It has stood on the Schmittmann-Oldenkock farm for over 370 years. The wayside shrine, made of Billerbeck sandstone, was probably built in 1642 to oppose the Mennonites and Calvinists and has an unusually rich decoration. The focus is on the Last Supper scene. The wayside shrine has been restored at great expense in recent months.

On the bike path from Südlohn to Oeding you can discover one of the oldest shrines in southern Lohn. He has been standing on the farm Schmittmann - Oldenkock for over 360 years.
