This is a local memorial to the Wars of Liberation or the Battle of Leipzig (also known as the "Battle of Nations"), which took place in 1813 and was a central event of the Napoleonic Wars. Such memorial stones were often erected in the 19th or early 20th century (e.g., for the 100th anniversary in 1913) – hence the name "Jahrhundertberg".
