The Upper Fire Eversand was built in 1887. Together with the sub fire Eversand it led until 1923 with a white Festfeuer the shipping traffic in the area of the Weser estuary by the Wurster arm of the outer Weser. At that time, the main waterway ran there. The buildings closed a firing gap between Bremerhaven and the open sea.Due to the relocation of sands in the Weser, the main navigation water had to be relocated to the Fedderwarder arm in 1922. Thus, the towers lost their function. After that Eversand-Oberfeuer still served as a rescue beacon and was maintained as such until 1995. Then ice drift damaged the foundation. In 2003, the transfer from Eversandwatt to Dorum-Neufeld took place. A large part of the implementation costs of around 1.8 million euros took over the Hanseatic city of Bremen as a former client for the construction of the beacon Obereversand. Today a tourist attraction and maritime landmark 😎👍
