Cycling
In Egloffstein, the traditional use of water power has been resumed: the Trubach river carries approx. 1000 l/s of water near Egloffstein. Part of this water flows over an overshot water wheel and drives a generator. The amount of CO²-neutral energy produced is approx. 18 kWh and is fed into the municipal power grid. So that fish and amphibians can continue to pass this spot, only part of the water flows over the water wheel.
