Hiking
A 3km trail from the village centre up a road with a paved area and around the woods, along a boardwalk at the lower side.
Along the route you will come across a number of benches and picnic tables; take time to rest and appreciate the tranquillity and peace of Silaire Wood. The trail continues along the boardwalk with fantastic elevated views over the River Barrow. Take the opportunity to try and spot Otters and Kingfishers that may well cross your path. Follow the boardwalk for approx. 400m before turning right and climbing steadily back up towards the carpark.
