Start of Katwijk to Noordwijk dune cycling path. Beautiful ride through the Dutch dunes. Can be very busy on sunny summer weekends.

This is where long time ago the Rijn ended. Today there is a dam that is opened only when the water level is higher than the see level (low tide).

A few hundred meters inland there is a second dam that has a pumping station (you can see the building on top) that elevates the inland water into the volume in-between the dams.
