Arrochar Parish Church is a pretty building on the banks of Loch Long. The church was built in 1847 over an older church from 1733. However, 150 years after the new church was built it was deemed too dangerous to enter and was closed. The community worked hard to raise money to save the church and local tradespeople helped to repair it. In 1999, the church reopened and has been a pillar of the community ever since.
