Stoney Point Drive is a gravel road off the main highway that offers visitors scenic views and excellent bird-watching opportunities. The drive hugs the shoreline for its entire length. There is a pull-off at the southwestern end of the road where one can park and look for rare waterbird migrants. At the northeastern end of the road, there is a favorite spot for local surfers to "catch a wave." Happily and surprisingly, the point remains relatively undeveloped.
