This segment offers a spectacular of Lake Superior. While hiking this trail wedged between the lake on one side and a sheer cliff on the other, it’s fun to think that in past times all the traffic along the busy Highway 61 had to squeeze through this narrow segment. Now Highway 61 is routed through a tunnel in the rock.
