The Analipseos tou Kyriou (Ascension of the Lord) church in Platanos, a mountain village in the Achaia region (Aigialeia municipality), is the second parish church in the village, built as a larger addition to the original Agios Andreas church due to population growth.
The foundation stone was laid earlier, but the official inauguration took place in 1980.
The church is a three-aisled basilica with two striking bell towers at the front. The facade combines natural stone with the red brick arches typical of the Byzantine style around the windows and doors.
