This pocket of littoral rainforest within Royal National Park offers a contrast to the exposed coastline nearby. The track passes through dense, shaded vegetation with twisted tree trunks, vines, and a thick understorey of ferns. The air feels cooler and more sheltered here, with filtered light under the canopy. Ground conditions can be uneven with roots and leaf litter underfoot, and sections may become damp or slippery after rain.
