From the picturesque valley of Great Langdale, the conical, isolated summit of Pike of Blisco goads explorers to take on its challenge. Were it not for the Langdale Pikes, the ostentatious show-offs on the other side of the valley, Pike of Blisco’s magnetism would undoubtedly draw more to its summit. This is a glorious fell, in keeping with the character of Lakeland’s most mountainous region.

    Hiking

I've hiked Pike Of Blisco once in a complete white-out in 2018 and then again on a glorious summer's day in 2021 and I'm so pleased I visited for a second time as the views were outstanding! It's lovely to overlook the Langdale Pikes from this angle and then looking towards Crinkle Crags is dreamy! What a joyful hike. Watch out for the scramble sections if ascending from Great Langdale.
