Hörselberghaus Mountain Inn & View of the Thuringian Forest

From here you have a fantastic view of the Großer Inselsberg and the Thuringian Forest. The restaurant doesn't open until March.

Beautiful panoramic view of the Thuringian Forest with the Großer Inselsberg (916 m), the Wartbergen, towards Mosbach, Wutha-Farnroda and Eisenach with the Wartburg and the fraternity monument up to the Kleiner Hörselberg. The old, renatured route of the A4 motorway is clearly visible from up here and to the east you can see the new motorway route before it goes north around the Hörselberge near Sättelstädt. In the foreground is the railway line and the towns of Sättelstädt, Kälberfeld and Schönau.
There are a few benches along the side of the path and on the summit plateau that invite you to look out and take a rest.
