Mountain biking

Around 1250, the castle was built by the Seinsheim family; in 1550, it was converted into a moated castle. This was set on fire and destroyed in 1945. The Freiherren von Pölnitz began the clearance, but money for reconstruction was lacking – hence the donation to the Bavarian state. In 1982, the ruin was sold to a private individual. A huge moat surrounds the almost square complex. Still visible today are four residential building gables, the burnt-out chapel, and four smaller round towers, two of them with roofs.
The castle moat and rampart are passable with MTB.
