This chapel on Brelaarstraat is dedicated to Father Carremans and other Crosiers who died violently in Congo between 1964 and 1965.

Historical context: The chapel on Brelaarstraat was erected in memory of Father Robert Carremans, born in Paal. Robert Carremans was a missionary in Congo. In 1962, the missionary, along with dozens of other missionaries, was murdered by the Simbas in Kongolo. In 2010, the chapel underwent a thorough restoration at the initiative of Louis Carremans out of respect for his murdered uncle.
