The Town Hall in Banská Štiavnica stands on Trojičné Square and is one of the most characteristic buildings of the old town. The current appearance of the town hall mainly dates from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, although its origins date back to the Middle Ages.
The building was erected as the seat of the authorities of one of the richest mining towns in the former Kingdom of Hungary. It is distinguished by its clock tower and its facade in the late Baroque and Neoclassical styles.
