The high-altitude trail parking lot is located near the castle pond.
Here the dream loop "Nahe-Felsen-Weg" starts. The driveway over the Schloßstraße is steep, narrow and long, so not suitable for every vehicle.
Motorhomes is not recommended, as there are hardly any turning options or evasive places, but rather tight places. Approaching the mountain almost impossible.
I did it unknowingly with my 4,60m camper and came up with cooking engine.

Brief descriptionThe Nahe-Felsen-Weg offers an 8.8km stretch of splendid views of downtown Oberstein, the castles and rock formations along the deeply cut Nahe valley. Demanding ascents and descents alternate with relaxing path sections through beautiful mixed beech forests. In contrast, there are parts of the path along the south-facing, warm, dry slopes of the "Gefallener.Felsen" nature reserve. Interesting and rare animals and plant communities live here. Information boards and a nature quiz for children make this hike an experience. The path first leads along paths and forest roads through the pleasantly shady mixed beech forest, slowly descending to a vantage point with a wide view of the Nahe and Bollenbachtal and then on to the Nahe. A worthwhile detour leads to the beautiful rest area with a sensory bench right on the Nahe. The next stage destination is the "Gefallener Felsen" nature reserve with a wonderful view of Oberstein and the castle complexes. After a relaxing section through a dense forest, you pass the dry slopes on the Heinzenberg. A curved path leads from here into the Seitzenbachtal. Via Götzplatz, a beautiful orchard meadow, you go to the Homersfelsen viewpoint high above the city. On the way to the castle pond, you walk through the old castle grounds. A steep path branches off here to the castle, the rock church and the historic old town of Oberstein. Shortly after the castle pond, the starting point of the circular route is reached again.
