    Main entrance to Jintai Temple.

Jintai Temple is a large temple complex built into the slopes of Huangyang Mountain. The temple was originally established around 1200, during the Song Dynasty. It has been massively expanded during the Qing Dynasty in 1772.

The main building was demolished in 1958, during The Great Leap Forward. The rest of the temple was also severely damaged. The current temple complex was built in 1992, at a higher location, as the original temple is fully or partially submerged in the water reservoir.
