The Aglsboden itself is a Hochtalmulde, flowed through by the tributary of Burkhardklamm, and many other smaller mountain streams, which flow into the sink in the tributary. In the spring when the snow melts the trough seems to be temporarily almost completely filled, which can be concluded from the sand deposits.
